The Reviewers page is a crucial component of our compensation review process, enabling you to assign and manage reviewers for each employee. It ensures a structured and fair assessment aligned with your organization's hierarchy.
Role and responsibilities of reviewers
A reviewer is responsible for evaluating an employee’s compensation details. The first reviewer suggests the initial raise and can add comments. Subsequent reviewers can review and modify these suggestions. The process continues up the hierarchical chain until the last reviewer.
Access requirement for reviewers
All reviewers must have access to Figures to complete their reviews.
The Compensation Review configuration process includes a dedicated step to ensure this.
Setting up the number of reviewers
By default, two reviewers are assigned to each employee - their direct manager and the manager's manager. You can customize this number to fit your organization's needs:
Click on the 'Number of Reviewers'
Select or enter the desired number of reviewers.
The system updates the reviewers based on the company's hierarchy.
Choosing a final reviewer
Optionally, you can designate a final reviewer, like the CEO, who will have the conclusive say on all reviews. To set this up:
Choose the individual from the "Final reviewer" dropdown list
This reviewer will oversee and finalize the entire compensation review process.
Understanding the reviewers list
Reviewers are automatically assigned following the company’s hierarchical structure. Each employee’s direct line of managers becomes their reviewers. In cases where the hierarchy’s top is reached, an employee might have fewer reviewers than desired.
Reassigning the first reviewer
If necessary, you can reassign an employee’s first reviewer:
Select the employee on the Reviewers list.
Click on the "Reassign" button at the top of the list.
Choose a new first reviewer.
By changing the first reviewer of an employee, all subsequent reviewers will adjust according to the new reviewer's hierarchical line.
Handling reviewer unavailability
If a reviewer is unavailable, higher-level reviewers can take over the review process. This ensures continuity and timely completion of the compensation review.
