Roles and permissions

Manage roles and permissions to control who accesses which content.

Updated over a week ago

Below you will find an up to date guide for all our user types and the possible permissions you can set to control access to Figures.

Permissions

πŸ’‘ Manager permissions are granted in addition to other roles. For example, you can have Manager + HR or Manager + Employee roles. In such cases, the most permissive rights apply.

To manage roles and permissions, please refer to the Permissions Center.

Inviting users and assigning roles

  1. Go to Account > Users' section

  2. Click on Invite user and enter the email address of the person you wish to invite.

  3. Select the appropriate role for the new user from the Permissions section. Options include Administrator, HR, Recruiter, or Employee.

  4. Map the invited user to the corresponding employee in Figures. This is crucial as managerial permissions in Figures are derived from the direct and indirect reports of your employees, based on your HRIS data.

  5. If inviting a Manager, Figures automatically assesses and assigns managerial permissions based on their direct and indirect reports.

Automatic role assignment for managers

Figures simplifies the process for managers by automatically granting them access to managerial features based on their direct and indirect reports. This ensures that managers have the necessary tools to oversee their teams' compensation data without manual intervention.

Managing permissions dynamically

Figures' permissions system is dynamic, adjusting access rights as team members' roles or responsibilities change. This means that when an employee gains or loses reports, their access as a manager is automatically updated.
