Create an offer

Use Smart Offer to build a compensation package and check it against your policy before sending it.

  1. Click New Offer on the top right

  2. Choose your set up starting point

    1. From a peer: in Basic Information, select the Peer employee you would like to base your set up on. Position, level and location will be prefilled according to the selected employee information.

    2. From a salary range:

      • in Basic Information, select the Salary range you would like to base your set up on. Position, level and location will be prefilled according to the selected employee information.

      • add the Peer Comparison to unlock deeper pay equity analysis in the offer impact analysis later on.

  3. Save the Basic Information (top right of the card)

  4. Fill the Hiring Team card to drive approval routine. Those information should be prefilled already. If not, select the Business Unit and Hiring Manager. Click Save.

  5. Fill the Compensation package.

    1. Compose the package by filling the Base salary and, if applicable, adding Variable pay items, Fixed items or any Exceptional requests.

    2. Select the Currency.

    3. Select the Compensation measure between Base Salary, OTE or Total Cash.

    4. Click Save (at the top right of the Compensation card).

  6. Then walk through the guardrail steps across Market positioning, Salary range placement and Pay equity. For each one of them define:

    1. The reference (Target percentile for Market positioning, Compa-ratio or Range penetration for Salary range placement, Midpoint for Pay equity)

    2. Warning threshold (in yellow): you will be able to associate a specific workflow if an offer falls into the yellow zone.

    3. Escalation threshold (in red): you will be able to associate a specific workflow (different from the Warning one) if an offer falls into the red zone.

💡 Not all thresholds are mandatory. You can choose to only set up Warning or Escalation.

  7. Click Confirm at the very top right.

  8. Your offer is created and checked against your compensation policy and guardrails. See Review an offer.
