If you have uploaded your employee data using a spreadsheet, then the information is static. Because of that, we ask you to update your dataset at least once per year, though it is usually done more often than that. Updates can either be conducted manually or using the spreadsheet once more.

Manual Updates on Figures

Updating information for existing employees and adding new hires manually on Figures is pretty straightforward.

For updates just go to the (1) employees tab on Figures, (2) select the person for which you want to adjust information, (3) enter the update and (4) click “save”.

To add new hires manually, use the button “Add a new employee” on the same tab in the upper right corner.

Updating your data via spreadsheet

In case of large numbers of changes to your data, however, you might want to use the spreadsheet import for greater efficiency (e. g. during a salary review). A detailed description of how to do that can be found HERE.

When using the spreadsheet to not only update existing employees on Figures but also to add new hires, please don’t forget to map those newly hired staff members. Once imported they will be listed as unmapped.

But note☝️- the more you map on the Mapping tab the better? Why, you ask? Well, because mapping done on said tab will be saved and considered whenever new employees are added, thus facilitating automatic mapping which reduces your effort and saves you time.
