These are the steps to update your employees using a spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet update should only be used in case you can't connect to your HRIS system.

  1. Go to the "imported employees" page.

  2. Click on the button "Update employees list"

  3. Click on the button "Generate spreadsheet"

    1. Figures will create a spreadsheet with all information currently in Figures so you're updating from the last source of truth

  4. Update the spreadsheet

    1. Add a line to add new employees

    2. Erase all information on a line to delete employees

    3. Change any information on the line to update employees

  5. Download the spreadsheet:

  6. Upload the spreadsheet:

    1. Please don't modify the headers and make sure you're using the required format for dates and numbers

  7. Finish the changes:

    1. If you change salary, bonus or location you won't have to do anything

    2. Change of job title, level => They will appear as "Needs remapping". In that case, we've detected a change we can't process. You'll have to change Figures mapping if needed and click on "Submit"

    3. New employees => They will appear as "Unmapped", you'll need to assign a Figures job, level, and location.
