Update your employee data manually

You might need to update employee data manually in Figures. This happens if you don’t use an HRIS or if your HRIS is missing some fields.

Step by step

  1. Click on Account > Integrations > Spreadsheet.

  2. Click on "Partial Employee Data Update".

    Important: "Comprehensive Employee Data Sync" is an option meant to add new employees or delete employees from your Figures account via a Spreadsheet.

  3. Click on Generate a Spreadsheet for me

  4. Select all the optional columns that you would like to upload or update.

  5. Now you can either:

    • click on Download Spreadsheet > Generate template, then click on Import file with your updated spreadsheet.

    • click on Edit in Figures > Generate template & fill data, to update your data online. Here, just click in the boxes and type down your updates.

  6. Click on Confirm to update the data.

Important if you're using an HRIS
Figures syncs with your HRIS every night. This means:

  • Any field that exists in your HRIS updates automatically in Figures.

  • You can’t manually change those fields in Figures—they’ll be overwritten by the next sync.

  • Even if updated via spreadsheet, HRIS data will always take priority.

In short: what’s in your HRIS is what you’ll see in Figures the next day.

Once you have updated your data, make sure it is correctly mapped in Account > Mapping.
