Once you've structured your salary bands by defining your levels, jobs and locations, the next phase involves mapping these structures to your employees. This step ensures your employees are correctly allocated within the salary bands you've created based on the data from your HRIS.
Map your levels
The first step involves associating the levels you defined during the structuring process with the corresponding levels of your employees as per your HRIS data.
Here's how to do it:
You will see the levels you've defined on the left side of the screen. On the right, you'll see all the different level values associated with your employees in your HRIS data.
Drag and drop the level values from the right side to the corresponding level on the left.
Map your jobs
Next, you'll align the jobs from your HRIS data with the jobs you defined in the structure step. Here's how:
You will see the jobs you've defined on the left side of the screen. On the right, you'll find all the different job titles we found in your HRIS data.
As with levels, drag and drop the job titles from the right side to the corresponding job on the left.
By the end of this process, each job from your HRIS should be associated with one of your predefined jobs.
Map your locations
Finally, it's time to map the locations. Just like with levels and jobs, you'll align the locations from your HRIS data with the locations you defined earlier. Here's how:
You will see the locations you've defined on the left side of the screen. On the right, you'll find all the different location values we found in your HRIS data.
Drag and drop the location values from the right side to the corresponding location on the left.
By the end of this process, each location from your HRIS should be associated with one of your predefined locations.
Automapping and validation
To streamline your mapping process, Figures automaps your levels, jobs and locations whenever possible. This means if we're able to identify clear correspondences between your HRIS data and the structures you've defined, we'll do the mapping for you.
However, it's always a good practice to review the mapping and make sure everything aligns with your expectations. You can easily adjust the mapping if necessary.
Next step
Now that your employees' data is correctly mapped to your salary band structure, you're ready to move to the next step: Setting up the benchmark for your salary bands.
